Art. I, I, I. Life, liberty, and property. No natural person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property except by due process of law.

Art. I, I, 2. Protection to person and property; equal protection. Protection to natural persons and property is the paramount duty of government and shall be impartial and complete. No natural person shall be denied the equal protection of the laws.
